RESTORATIVE YOGA: HATHA YOGA & YIN YOGA
Restorative yoga is a healing yoga practice, this passive style of yoga is the perfect complement to the dynamic Vinyasa (Yang) practice. In this practice the slow sequences of movement work to relieve any tension or stress you have in the body and mind. During this grounding experience you will breathe deeper, hold poses for longer and build a stronger sense of connection within yourself. We offer two slightly different restorative style yoga classes: Hatha Yoga & Yin Yoga.
Hatha Yoga, this practice is focused on deep stretching that allows muscles to relax and lengthen, which puts less strain on the skeletal system and reduces tension throughout the body. This is an accessible class that everyone needs – from advanced practitioners, weekend warriors, to first time yoga students and everyone in between.
Yin Yoga is an even slower paced practice, here postures are held for longer periods of time between 3 to 5 minutes to work deeply into the connective tissues of the body. This approach to yoga where you perform the majority of the poses seated on the floor or laying down, offers deeper access to the body with the aim of lubricating and protecting our joints as well as stimulating the energetic flow of the subtle body.
VINYASA FLOW YOGA & HOT YOGA
Vinyasa Flow classes offer more a dynamic style of practice, that aims to harmonise the breath and movement as you flow through the set sequences and poses. The sets of postures are accessible to all abilities, but should challenge you in your practice, helping you to build strength, and improve your alignment and flexibility. This fun style of class is great for students who like to like to challenge themselves and explore their physical and mental boundaries. Vinyasa Flow classes will be taught in normal room temperature and also high temperature for Hot Yoga.
Hot Yoga is open to all abilities, in a heated room to 35-37 degree. The heat will increase your heart rate and metabolism aiding muscle tone and flexibility are improved. This class will leave you feeling energised and mentally restored.
A Beginners Yoga class aims is to teach all the fundamental based movements for those who are completely new to yoga or to those looking for a gentle paced class. This class will build a solid foundation for long term practice in a safe and welcoming environment that will give you the confidence and understanding to join our other classes and progress on your journey. The focus is on listening to your body and moving in a way that works for you, not how anyone else looks.
Family Yoga is so AMAZING! In a world where parents and children are so busy, this class offers an opportunity for family members spend healthy and happy, quality time together. Children, parents, and even grandparents get to enjoy practicing yoga together and strengthen their bonds while they support each other and have fun. This class will involve a number of simple yoga postures and sequences, whilst allowing you to destress and reconnect, both with yourself and with each other.
BalletBeFit is a ballet inspired fitness sessions, which are specifically choreographed to meet all abilities. BalletBeFit classes are designed to improve posture, flexibility, strength, muscle tone and agility. A low impact, but intense, full body workout.
