From time to time we host events or classes which are separate from our weekly class timetable and which you can join even if you are not a member of the studio. Please keep an eye on this page for updates.

Cacao & Yoga Workshop

In this workshop we will  be combining the heart opening, Amazonian medicine of Cacao with a specially selected heart opening yoga flow, intention setting, multiple pranayama practices, and finishing off with a relaxing meditation.

Expect a warm cup of cacao, a distinctly bitter, chocolatey drink served with a pinch of cayenne pepper, cinnamon and rose - honey will be available for those who need it. 

Cacao ceremonies are an ancient practice that help us to connect back into ourselves. I have found that combining cacao with yoga heightens the effects of both practices and helps bring us to a blissful, open space where we can access our bodies subtle inner messages. 

Emily will be bringing her experiences and teachings from Central America to open the space and serve the Cacao in a traditional way. Then she'll lead you through a yoga sequence to amplify the effects of cacao, allowing you to go into a deep meditative state. 

On a physical level, Cacao helps the body release dopamine and endorphins, putting us into a naturally blissful state. It increases heart rate and blood flow helping get oxygen flowing round the body giving us a natural energy boost similar to caffeine. Cacao is also considered a superfood, rich in many essential minerals such as magnesium, potassium, iron and  zinc. 

What you need to know before the workshop: 


- Cacao is a diuretic so please bring plenty of water with you and hydrate throughout the day after our workshop
- Please do not eat at least 1 hour before the workshop, and please eat a light, whole food breakfast if you choose to eat in the morning
- You may like to bring a journal to jot things down throughout the workshop or to reflect afterwards.

Men's All Level Yoga

Perfect for beginners as well as men who have been through our 4 Week Yoga Programme. Each week you will be guided through the basic poses that form the foundation of all yoga. A simple but powerful set of poses that not only build muscle strength but improve suppleness, mobility and balance. Learn how to perfect each pose and start feeling the physical and mental benefits of stretching the muscles, while releasing tension from hips, hamstrings, back and shoulders.

Tuesdays at 8pm - 9pm

Whether you are a sportsman looking to diversify your activity, or ready to get up off the couch and improve your general health. This class is designed for all abilities.

Yoga for Absolute Beginners
Workshop

Are you curious about yoga but unsure where to begin? Join us for a transformative 2-hour workshop that is designed to educate and enrich, uncovering the essence of Yoga movement. This beginner-friendly event, led by the experienced instructor Josie, is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of Hatha yoga, Yin Yoga, and Mindfulness.

Yoga Nidra Workshop

Immerse yourself in the enchanting realm of Yoga Nidra during our transformative workshop. This blissful practice combines meditation, visualization, and intention-setting, guiding you on a journey of deep relaxation and self-discovery.

 

Designed for everyone, whether you're a seasoned yogi or a beginner, Yoga Nidra welcomes all. The session will begin with gentle movement for approximately 30 minutes, followed by the nourishing stillness. Experience the profound benefits of "yogic sleep" – one hour of Yoga Nidra equals four hours of regular sleep, making it exceptionally restorative.
